ABOUT
A Letter From Our Founder
As our society becomes increasingly digital, it is essential that we educate seniors and middle-aged individuals about technology, self-care, insurance, phone usage, and bill payment. Our community must come together to ensure that all individuals have access to the tools and knowledge they need to navigate these important aspects of modern life.
As we all know, technology is advancing at a rapid pace, and many seniors and middle-aged individuals find it challenging to keep up with the latest trends and developments. This can be particularly daunting for those who may not have grown up with technology as a central part of their lives. As a result, many individuals in this demographic may be missing out on important opportunities, including the ability to communicate with loved ones, access important information, and even receive healthcare services.
At the same time, it is also critical that we educate seniors and middle-aged individuals about taking care of themselves. This includes teaching them about the importance of regular exercise, a healthy diet, and proper medical care. By doing so, we can help to prevent health issues and ensure that our community members remain healthy and active well into their later years.
In addition to these important topics, we also need to educate seniors and middle-aged individuals about insurance, phone usage, and bill payment. These are all important aspects of modern life that can be difficult to navigate, particularly for those who may not be as familiar with the latest technology or payment systems. By providing education and support in these areas, we can help individuals to feel more confident and self-sufficient.
From my personal experience, I have been able to educate my own mother about the new technology and how to streamline her everyday life with the digital world. As a business owner for over 20 years, my mom saw the work I was doing and left her corporate job to help me in my business. Even though she intended to help me, I was able to help her as well by educating her on the tech and digital aspects of my business. She caught on quickly and has since been able to keep herself educated on the ever growing tech and digital world we live in today.
This has increased her quality of life tremendously. Since working with me my mother has retired and I don't have to worry if she is able to work her devices, pay bills online, set up appointments online, etc.
To this end, I am proposing that we launch an initiative to educate seniors and middle-aged individuals about technology, self-care, insurance, phone usage, and bill payment. This could take the form of community workshops, online resources, and one-on-one support from volunteers. By coming together as a community, we can ensure that all individuals have access to the tools and knowledge they need to succeed in the modern world.
I look forward to working to make this important initiative a reality.
Sincerely,
Joi Mebane
